Ferdinand Rebay (11 June 1880 – 6 November 1953) was an Austrian composer, music teacher, choir director, and pianist. He was a chorister at Heiligenkreuz Abbey, then studied piano with Joseph Hofmann and composition with Robert Fuchs at the Vienna Conservatory. From 1921 he was instructor for piano and singing at the Academy, now University, of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. Among his notable pupils was soprano Maria Tauberová. He retired in 1946, and died in poverty and obscurity in Vienna. A part of the musical estate of Rebay is in the music library of the convent Heiligenkreuz.

Leopoldo Saracino (born 1965 in Milano) is an Italian guitarist and teacher. He studied with Ruggero Chiesa, at the State Conservatorium G.Verdi of Milan. Subsequent studies have been with David Russell, Oscar Ghiglia, Leo Brouwer, and David Tanenbaum. Since his debut at the age of 14, Saracino has pursued a varied career as a recitalist, concerto soloist and chamber musician that brought him in Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Austria, Greece, Canada and all over Italy. He is member of the Contemporary music group Dedalo Ensemble, and is professor in the state Conservatory in Brescia.

Born in 1965, Enrico Maria Barbareschi completed his musical studies in Milan at the Civica Scuola di Musica under the guidance of Claudio Rossi, graduating in 1986 at the "Giuseppe Verdi" Conservatory. He attended master classes held by renowned musicians such as Alirio Diaz, Oscar Ghiglia, Aldo Minella and Ruggero Chiesa. In 1991 he founded the “Chitarra Trio” with his colleagues and friends Leopoldo Saracino and Fabio Spruzzola; with this ensemble he performed in important events in Italy and abroad. He is Professor of guitar at the "Giuseppe Nicolini" Conservatory of Piacenza.

  2. Sorry to comment on the wrong site – but on your other blog the mirrored links have stopped working on Google Chrome (I get a 400 error.) Any chance you could post links another way?
