Diyang Mei (born 1994 in Hunan) studied with Shaowu Wang at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, Hariolf Schlichtig at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, and Nobuko Imai at the Kronberg Academy. He won first prize at the 2018 ARD International Music Competition and was principal viola of the Munich Philharmonic from 2019 to 2022. In October 2022 he took up the same position with the Berliner Philharmonic Orchestra. His first solo-album “Transforming Viola” was released in 2019. Mei plays a Alessandro Mezzadri viola from 1700, on loan by a private collection.

Oliver Triendl (born 1970 in Mallersdorf, Bavaria) is a German pianist. He studied with Rainer Fuchs, Karl-Heinz Diehl, Eckart Besch, Gerhard Oppitz and Oleg Maisenberg, and is winner of several national and international competitions. As a soloist as well as a chamber musician, Triendl established himself in recent years as an extremely versatile artist, with about 100 CD recordings demonstrate his commitment to the unknown repertoire of the classical, romantic and contemporary music. In 2006 he founded the International Chamber Music Festival “Classix Kempten” in Kempten, Bavaria.
