Fernando Lopes-Graça (Tomar, 17 December 1906 – Parede, near Cascais, November 27, 1994) was a Portuguese composer, conductor and musicologist. As a composer, Lopes-Graça was influenced by Portuguese popular music, which he also studied, continuing the work of the composer and musicologist Francisco de Lacerda. He completed the Dicionário de Música (Dictionary of Music), started by his teacher, Tomás Borba, himself a composer. Lopes-Graça was a member of the Portuguese Communist Party and strenuously opposed the Estado Novo and its leader António de Oliveira Salazar.

Amílcar Vasques-Dias (born 7 March 1945) is a Portuguese composer and pianist. He studied piano and composition at the Porto Conservatory, the Calouste Gulbenkian Conservatory in Braga, and the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. Vasques-Dias also received important training from Karlheinz Stockhausen, Iannis Xenakis and Fernando Lopes-Graça. As a composer, he has been commissioned by Dutch and Portuguese public and private institutions. His music has been performed in Portugal and other countries in Europe and America. Several of Vasques-Dias' works has been recorded and published.

Joana Gama (born 1983 in Braga) is a Portuguese pianist. She studied at the Calouste Gulbenkian Conservatory of Music (Braga), the Royal Academy of Music (London) and Lisbon College of Music. In 2017 she defended her doctoral thesis at the University of Évora. Since 2013, she has been in an electronic piano duo with Luís Fernandes; together, they have released two albums QUEST (2014) and HARMONIES (2016). In 2016, with the support of Antena 2, Joana Gama dedicated herself to SATIE.150 - A celebration marking the 150th anniversary of the birth of French composer Erik Satie in Portugal.
