Juliette Hurel is known in both the French and the international music world as a famous flautist. She was awarded first prize for flute and chamber music at the Paris Conservatory, and obtained prizes in various competitions. Hurel is in much demand for chamber music and then performs beside musicians such as Gary Hoffman, Youri Bashmet, Schlomo Mintz, Marielle Normann, Jean-Guihen Queyras,Stephen Kovachevich and the Wanderer trio. Since 1998 she has been solo flautist with Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. Hurel has made various recordings with pianist Hélène Couvert.

Hélène Couvert (born 30 December 1970) is a French pianist. She studied at the Paris Conservatory and was awarded two unanimous first prizes in 1991. Noticed and supported by Leon Fleisher, Couvert is one of the few pianists who were invited to the prestigious Theo Lieven International Piano Foundation at Lake Como, where she received advice from Leon Fleisher, Andreas Staier, Alicia de Larrocha and Dimitri Bashkirov. She has made several records for Lyrinx, Naïve and Zigzag-territories with the flautist Juliette Hurel and the cellist Henri Demarquette. Couvert teaches piano at the Courbevoie conservatory.
