Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari (January 12, 1876 – January 21, 1948) was an Italian composer and teacher. He is best known for his comic operas such as Il segreto di Susanna (1909). As well as his operas, Wolf-Ferrari wrote a number of instrumental works, mainly at the very beginning and very end of his career. He also wrote Idillio-concertino (essentially a chamber symphony), various pieces of chamber music. Wolf-Ferrari's work is not performed very widely although he is generally thought of as probably the finest writer of Italian comic opera of his time. His works often recall the opera buffa of the 18th century.

Amedeo Cicchese (born 1988 in Campobasso) is an Italian cellist. He studied at the Conservatory "L.Perosi", the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, and the Hochschule der Künste Bern. Winner of the prestigious "Premio Giuseppe Sinopoli", he has won more than 30 national and international competitions as well as special mentions. Appointed by Riccardo Muti as Principal Cellist of the Cherubini Orchestra, Cicchese has performed also as a soloist in many theaters for prestigious Italian and foreign institutions. Since 2015 he is the Principal Cellist at the Orchestra of Teatro Regio in Turin.

Costantino Catena (born 1969) is an Italian pianist. After graduating from the Giuseppe Martucci Salerno State Conservatoire, Catena continued and completed his piano studies with Konstantin Bogino, Bruno Mezzena, Boris Bechterev and Aldo Ciccolini. Aside from performing as a as soloist, he is also active in the field of chamber music, collaborating with leading artists such as Alessandro Carbonare and Saschko Gawriloff. Catena is a piano professor at the Domenico Cimarosa State Conservatoire in Avellino, and is recording artist for Camerata Tokyo since 2010. Catena is Yamaha Artist.

The Quartetto Guadagnini was formed in 2012. The ensemble stands out among all the best chamber music groups in Europe dedicated to classical and romantic repertoire, for their peculiar feeling for XX and XXI centuries music. The quartet has already played in the most important Italian concert halls, as well as in France, Austria, Germany, Switzerland and China. The quartet also collaborates with other composers such as Silvia Colasanti, Domenico Turi, Paolo Cavallone, of whom they performed and recorded the work Mercutio (2009) and with Raffaele Bellafronte, of whom they recorded for Tactus.
